Is yoga for me?
Yoga is for everyone! Whether you are looking to improve your posture, flexibility, strength or relax, breathe, find space in your busy life… I believe yoga is for everyone. Don’t worry – you don’t have to be flexible or super athletic – the main goal of yoga is to link your breath with your movement. I teach group class on Friday evenings (which are suitable for beginners), as well as tailored to your needs private and semi-private yoga classes in your home or office. To find out more about my approach to yoga and how I can help you please get in touch.
I’m new to yoga?
Your first few classes might be a bit confusing until you become familiar with the movements and breath. I know that can seem daunting, but the whole point of yoga is to not have judgment toward yourself or the people around you. Just listen to all the instructions, remember to breathe and after a few weeks of practice you’ll get used to the postures and start noticing the benefits of yoga on your body and beyond.
I’m not flexible enough for yoga?
It can definitely be discouraging if you’re not naturally flexible, but it’s all about baby steps. A marathon runner doesn’t wake up one morning and start running marathons! You will not be required to stand on your head or twist yourself into a human pretzel. You will not have to touch your toes. You do not need to be flexible, and you do you need to wear yoga pants. You will be able to use modifications. You do not need to be good at yoga or know what you are doing. So, come and practice with us!
